What Shiraclub is.
Shiraclub is a private archive of Asian horror, subtitled by hand into English. Japan, South Korea, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines. Every file was translated by volunteers. None of it exists in English anywhere else.
The archive
We subtitle across nine series: Psychic Yuranbon, Senritsu Kaiki File Kowasugi, Yami Douga, TXQ Fiction, Cho Akunin, Banned From Broadcast, and the complete run of Kōji Shiraishi's standalone work. 63 files and counting.
Alongside subtitles, we run restoration projects where the source material warrants it. The Kowasugi series received a 4K UHD re-subtitle pass. Shiraishi's 2009 film Occult received a full 4K upscale and restoration.
The community
Shiraclub has been running since 2021. It is funded entirely through Patreon. There are no ads, no sponsors, and no institutional backing. Translators are volunteers.
Members vote on which film or series gets subtitled next. Every member gets a role in the Shiracord Discord and access to the full subtitle archive as files drop.
How to join
Membership is through Patreon. Once you subscribe, you link your Discord account to receive your ShiraClub role and gain access to the archive and the Shiracord community.
